Summary
I am an enthusiastic and focused person, always ready for a new challenge. Learning programming is something that I started doing on my own and it is a great example of the fact that I am a highly dedicated and driven person that will strive in any environment in which I will have the opportunity to be part of. So, what I lack in work experience I make up for in character and determination.

Dissertation – Multiplayer RPG Game
For my dissertation I created a Real Life based multiplayer video game using Unreal Engine 4 and C++. The most important thing that I learned from this was how to use Unreal Engine 4 and the biggest challenge to actually get something done. This is because I have never used it before nor did any networking and while working on this project I managed to learn both. More informations can be found here .

Projects

Web Blog
In pursuit of owning a blog myself rather than using a website/blog builder or WordPress, I decided to take it upon myself to build one.
The website uses Django for back-end as it comes with an admin menu which allows for quick implementation of new posts and editing of anything already created.
Within the blog, each post is given an author and categories which were selected when the post was created, using those you can search for specific posts and using the search box we can do the same thing. There is also a like post system included which right now uses the users IP to determine whether they have liked the post or not. When multiple people are on the same Wi-Fi it can become troublesome.
There is also a comment system which allows people to post or reply to a comment.
Tech: Python, Django, SQLite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Bootstrap

RPG Based Video Game
As part of my dissertation project, I have decided to create a Multiplayer Real-Life Based Video game, because this was just a prototype I have only scraped the surface with the features that it should have.
Using Unreal Engine 4 I have created the login for the game, UI, Animations and the networking.
C++ was used within the project since this is the only language supported by UE4 even though Blueprint are available they are not as fast and well optimized.
The players can interact with each other and test out the prototype by using the features currently included.
Tech: Unreal Engine 4 – Networking - Animation Blueprint - Blend Space - Widget Blueprint, C++, Adobe Fuse CC – Mixamo
Feb - May 2018
Game Engine
Using a number of libraries presented to me by the university I have created a Game Engine which allows for player movement using Bullet’s CharacterController.
I have also exposed some methods which we used with Lua and were able to control the mouse and character movement.
Models and Shapes were also included into the engine which allowed for a level to be created along with physics which allowed the Character to interact with.
Tech: C++, Lua, Bullet 2.87, Glew, Glut, Autodesk FBX
